Jason Raymond Bay (born September 20, 1978 in Trail, British Columbia) is a left fielder for the Mets. He was drafted in 2000 by the Montreal Expos. The Expos traded him to the Mets in 2002 along with Jim Serrano for Lou Collier. The Mets traded him to the San Diego Padres along with Josh Reynolds and Bobby J Jones for Jason Middlebrook. He made his debut with the Padres on May 23, 2003. On his first at-bat, he had his first hit which was a home run. Three days later, he was traded to the Pirates
